Royal progresses and parades

In April 1876 Queen Victoria went on a progress through the City. The children were allowed time off to watch, and the minute record that a photograph had been taken of them doing so, and a copy presented to every trustee. Sadly, there is no copy in the minute book.

But then, as now, the children of the Cass school were part of many City events, generally being taken in an organised group to observe processions and celebrations.
